Courtney Cook is a writer of nonfiction & poetry, a multidisciplinary artist, avid reader, and lover of naps. Courtney attended University of Michigan during her undergraduate career, studying creative writing & literature, and art & design. Currently, Courtney is an MFA candidate at the University of California, Riverside with a focus in nonfiction. Her first book, titled THE WAY SHE FEELS, is forthcoming from Tin House Books in Summer 2021. She has been published in The Rumpus, Hobart, Empty Mirror, Entropy Magazine, Lunch Ticket, Literary Orphans, and Maudlin House, and has work forthcoming in Split Lip Magazine. When not focusing on schoolwork, Courtney can be found reading nonfiction submissions for Split Lip Press, art directing for Gayettes, and helping to manage the Santa Ana River Review. She is located in Orange, California, though she hails from the suburbs of Chicago, and considers herself forever a part of the Midwest.
